Born a fearless spirit, Mary Martin moved to New York as a young Canadian in the 1960's. Starting off working for iconic music manager: Albert Grossman; this trailblazing woman helped shape music history through her involvement with artists like Leonard Cohen, Van Morrison, Bob Dylan, Emmylou Harris, Vince Gill, Rodney Crowell, Steve Earle and many more. As this bold Music Maven became a key player in the industry, she continued to break-down barriers and overcome unimaginable obstacles.

Mary’s life is full of extraordinary experiences with some of today’s most celebrated music legends. Music is always relevant, but her influence in the industry is just part of the story. From losing one of her brother’s in an unimaginable murder to Martin surviving rape later in life;  all of Mary’s major life experiences echo critical topics and discussions that are currently in the international spotlight. Those subjects include: women’s rights (equal pay, breaking the glass ceiling+), crime survivors' rights, songwriter and musicians being paid what they deserve for their craft (music licensing, Music Modernization Act+), American Football (a favorite of Mary’s), immigration and most importantly: continuing to live life while overcoming the most difficult obstacles.
